Barred Owl


This young owl landed on our deck Thursday afternoon. It stayed for a couple of minutes as I fumbled to find the camera and snap pictures through the sliding glass door. Click on the image to see a full size version.

BBC NEWS -Saddam 'to face just 12 charges'

About time! BBC NEWS | Middle East | Saddam 'to face just 12 charges'



The Iraqi government says Saddam Hussein will face only 12 charges when he goes on trial, despite a possible 500 cases against him.

A spokesman said the 12 charges of crimes against humanity were fully documented and there was no point "wasting time" dealing with all 500.
